US-based Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials has announced the launch of a new HP Indigo-certified digital print-ready version of its Global MDO film.
Avery said that the addition of the new facestock will allow the company continue to expand its portfolio of HP Indigo-certified substrates.
The new top-coated digital film laminate, which is part of the company's machine direction orientated (MDO) film product line, is available in clear and white options and features a balance of properties that remove darts and wrinkles in high-speed dispensing environments and challenging packaging formats.
Avery Dennison Labels and Packaging Materials director for prime papers David Collins said, by taking advantage of the HP Indigo digital printing capabilities, the Global MDO digital facestock enables label and packaging brand owners to leverage their SKU strategies.
"The expansive portfolio offers the ultimate flexibility in driving shelf impact with personalization and customization, late-stage differentiation and private label flexibility," Collins added.
Global MDO produces 40% less solid waste, consumes 37% less energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 10%, according to findings of Avery Dennison Greenprint study.
