Cable & Wireless Communications PLC (CWC) revealed that affiliated Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) planned to launch LTE service later this year as one step for its marketing and promotion kicked off for Christmas Day holiday season.
The LTE network of BTC will be deployed by Huawei Technologies, covering New Providence Island in the early stage and extended to other Bahamas regions afterwards. The network theoretically can offer maximum speed of 100Mbps so that BTC users can enjoy service like video calls and high-definition video flowing.
